TIMOTHY SCHAUER, CFA, CPA, MBA

Principal, Chief Equity Strategist and Portfolio Manager.

Tim is responsible for investment research, analysis, portfolio design, and developing investment models.  He is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm.

He earned his MBA from Western Michigan University and is a CFA Charterholder.  The CFA charter is a globally recognized credential for investment analysis and management.

Tim is also a Certified Public Accountant with an accounting degree from Mankato State University (MSU).  He has over 13 years of accounting experience in both public and private settings, and over 30 years of investment experience.

Tim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Western Michigan chapter of the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago.

Tim also makes a practice of being involved in his community. For over 18 years, he had served as a volunteer counselor at a local correctional facility.  He participated as one of the judges in a CFA West Michigan Society's CFA Research Challenge.  The panel listened to competing college teams’ presentations on their analysis of a chosen company.  He had also served as a volunteer treasurer of a local community outreach organization. During his undergraduate years in Mankato, MN, he was active in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization.
